In 2012 AWWA organized a field trip with the Acton Elementary School 5th and 6th graders and the Wakefield Paul School 6th grade to visit the Gundalow Program in Portsmouth NH. The goal of this field trip was to connect the modules the students had been working on with the real impacts on the coast.
The day included a sail on the Gundalow down the Piscataqua River and tide pooling along the estuary.
Hoisting the sails
Using discovery scopes to observe planktons
